Video footage released by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) , shows officers from the Golden Gate Division Air Operations team rescuing a severely injured paraglider from the side of Glascock Peak.

On the evening of January 12th, 2022, at approximately 4:30 P.M., CHP H-32, CHP H-20, REACH 6, Cal Fire, and firefighters from Yolo County, successfully located the injured paragliders. Reports from a brief interview with the paraglider, during flight he clipped the top of a ridgeline, causing him to lose control and plummet to the side of the cliff-face.

Witnessing the horrific crash, an additional paraglider turned around, landed himself near the injured "flyer" and began rendering medical treatment until CHP arrived. In the footage, CHP personnel successfully hoisted up the injured flyer into their H-32 helicopter, while additional CHP personnel recovered the uninjured flyer in their H-20 helicopter.

Upon landing in a nearby parking lot, the patient was transported to Kaiser Vacaville with serious injuries. The current status of the patient is unknown.
