Dual Lancet Drone Strike on Ukrainian Radar Vehicle

Headphone Warning.

Four views of a loitering munition attack against a Ukrainian 5N63S Flap Lid B radar vehicle are put together with some incredibly obnoxious music showing the Lancet being defeated once by a net, and then impacting with the vehicle on the second try as it's being relocated.

I don't know many people who consider themselves experts in the 5N63S Flap Lid B Radar System, so I had to do a little bit of research for this one. According to the spec sheets I was able to find, the 5N63S Flap Lid B has a altitude maximum of 30480m and a maximum range of 166.7 km. Apparently it's not great at picking up commercial drones, nor is it great at spotting incoming loitering munitions, but that;s to be expected because the device was designed in the 1980s.

Regardless, the Ukrainians seem to be adapting to the loitering munition threat by erecting large nets around sensitive equipment like this. Also, on the rare chance that you're a 5N63S Flap Lid B Radar System subject matter expert, feel free to correct me on anything I may have gotten wrong above. I would say I'm only marginally more educated than the average person on the subject, and that's because I know the system exists. So do you, now that you've read this blog post. We're pretty much on the same page now.
