HIMARS Destroys Ru 152mm Howitzer

Edited drone footage of Ukrainian HIMARS destroying a Russian artillery on the left (east) bank of the Dnipro River. The system destroyed is a 2S65 Msta-B, a 152mm towed howitzer capable of firing conventional and nuclear munitions. This is significant for many reasons, the first being that the neutralization of Russian artillery in this area of operations enable Ukraine to move forces across the Dnipro River. This might open another front, but even the threat of another front fixes Russian units in place. Second, a numerically superior artillery branch has been a center of gravity for Russian units thus far in the war. Ukraine’s counterbattery campaign is rapidly depleting Russian artillery, negating this advantage. On a final note, I like the “Zombie” remake in Ukrainian, though there is a certain measure of irony in taking a song that decried the violence in Northern Ireland and using it in a combat video.
