Footage from the Ukrainian 92nd Mechanized Brigade shows a T-72 spamming Russian positions with rapid main gun fire to keep Russian heads down while Ukrainian troops can be seen maneuvering through the wood line.

The T-72's autoloader is both a asset and an achilles heal. The ability to quickly fire several tank rounds is certainly a perk, but the autoloader design requires the ammunition to be exposed and vulnerable in the troop compartment, which is why we have seen such spectacular explosions following ATGM strikes against Soviet-design tanks.
