This footage, provided by Denver Police Department, shows their officers responding to a robbery-turned-hostage-situation. Despite barricading himself in a back room of the convenience store with two hostages, the suspect is shot and killed without harm to the them. Viewer discretion is advised.

The suspect, Christopher Couch, was wanted for carjacking earlier that day- in fact, the vehicle he used to get to the Circle K in question was stolen. However, pursuit had been called off due to Couch's reckless driving. Police caught up to Couch at this Seven-Eleven, where his attempt to rob the store somehow became him taking two hostages with a nail puller in the storage room.

After bystanders point him into the building, a Denver officer makes contact with Couch, who closes the door of the stockroom in which he is hiding. The officer can be heard telling someone to put their gun away at 01:21. Although unclear, this may be referring to a cadet who is on-scene. After several attempts to kick the door in, a ram is brought up by another officer. He defeats the door's lock at 04:53. A female officer takes point with her AR. Despite hostages being within inches of the suspect, she and the other officers put 36 rounds into Couch in the close space. The hostages are unharmed, though Couch was pronounced dead on arrival at an area hospital.
