Ukrainians Penetrate Russia's Main Defensive Line

For the first time in the months-long counteroffensive, Ukrainian forces have breached Russia's main line of defense, also called the Surovikin Line in the vicinity of Verbove on the southern Zaporizhzhia front.

Russian drone footage shows Ukrainian Stryker, Marauder, and MaxxPro MRAPs penetrating the line and operating behind the tank ditches and dragon teeth tank barriers. The Ukrainian forces are shown under heavy hostile artillery fire dismounting infantry troops to take up positions within the wood lines. The footage was confirmed by geolocation by various open source intelligence analysts.

Russia reportedly started relocating Airborne VDV units from the Bakhmut front to the south. It's unclear if they have yet taken up defensive positions or if they will be able to halt the Ukrainian advance.
