Tank Shrugs Off Massive SVBIED Blast

A video filmed in Iraq or Syria during the height of the anti-ISIS war shows an Islamic State armored truck bomb driving toward enemy forces and being met by a lone "tank."

The narrator mentions "BMP-1" a Russian light armored fighting vehicle, however, the shape of the turret and length of the vehicle's main cannon doesn't appear to match the profile of said vehicle, and more closely resembles a T-55. Yet, the video quality is too poor to confirm or deny.

It's not clear from the footage if the Islamic State SVBIED driver prematurely detonated the weaponized vehicle or if the tank was able to make a direct hit, but a massive explosion occurs. The occupants of the defending tank are likely rattled by the blast shockwave but lived to fight another day.
