On July 1, 2021, Taliban leadership held a brazen public meeting. They quickly found out that the Afghan National Airforce has been giving no slack throughout the latest Taliban offensive.

If you cut the head off of a snake, it's body becomes a useless and inert object that is not capable of striking back. This video, which was released by the Afghan National Airforce on Friday, shows that the Government forces of Afghanistan are no where near being finished handling this latest Taliban offensive.

While it does appear that the Taliban have been taking loads of ground from Government forces, videos like this re-affirm my hope for the future of Afghanistan. I hope that some day soon the people of Afghanistan can finally live in peace, without the fear of Taliban control. The Afghan National Army and Air Force are capable fighting forces that should be able to handle the threat of Taliban opposition.
