Footage from Iraq's war against the Islamic State is filmed from an Iranian-led Shia Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU) fighting position as they face down a rapidly approaching Islamic State assault force composed of two armored vehicles occupied by armed fighters.

The ISIS trucks get stuck in a tank ditch that served its purpose well. The Islamic State fighters dismount and attempt to retreat but are shot down or killed by grenades by the PMU defenders.

Watching the footage, one must consider the anxiety pouring through the ranks of the PMU as the vehicles approached. ISIS is well-known for using car bombs and there's no way these defenders could know if they were seeing incoming SVBIEDs or a ground assault.
