The US Navy's 5th Fleet uploaded a video showing a Russian naval vessel aggressively approaching the USS Farragut in the Arabian Sea on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.
The approach is being called unsafe and provocative by US officials. The US Navy vessel gave out five successive horn bursts, the warning for a possible collision, but the Russian vessel’s crew ignored the alert and continued on their negligent heading.
Unsafe and unprofessional engagements by the Russian Navy are not uncommon.
