Helmet mounted camera footage released by members of the 118th Mechanized Brigade shows a small security patrol making close contact with Russian forces near Robotyne. The two man patrol appears to be checking on a position they thought was eliminated, when around 2:40 seconds they make contact. In response, the Ukrainian in the lead immediately lays down a cyclic rate of fire, which prompts a tactical retreat from the larger Russian force at the fighting position.

The next ten minutes of the video shows the pair in retreat while under direct fire from the Russian forces. The video concludes with them having successfully broken contact, as the Russians did not pursue them.
