A Russian arms depot erupted in a series of explosions and fire near the towns of Timxonovo and Soloti, nine miles deep into the Russian region of Belgorod on Aug. 18, 2022.

The two villages had to be evacuated as the fire spread, but no casualties have been reported. The fires burned for several hours. So far the Ukrainian government has not taken credit, and it is unclear if the Russian government would acknowledge a Ukrainian strike or sapper operation so deep into Russian territory.
