Drone footage shows a deadly exchange of gunfire at extremely close range during the ongoing battle for Marinka in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region.

One of the Ukrainian soldiers can be seen lifting his rifle over his head and blind fires in an attempt to hit his target at a downward angle over the wall that separates them. The rarely effective technique actually works, and the Russian soldier is hit. He slumps down and the Ukrainian soldier moves in for a finishing burst from a direct angle.

Marinka, along with Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Lyman continue to be the epicenters of hostilities between Russian and Ukrainian forces.
