A Ukrainian Bradley IFV engages Russian targets in a tree line at extremely close range. The video begins with two Bradley IFVs on screen. The vehicle in foreground is inactive and likely disabled. The other Bradley launches its smoke grenades, intended to screen the vehicle’s movement. As the vehicle moves in reverse it engages targets in the tree line at the upper left of the screen with 25mm HEIT fired from its M242 Bushmaster main gun. The Bushmaster has a range of 1700 meters for HE and 2200 meters for armor-piercing (AP) ammunition, so this is a very close engagement. This looks like a clip of a longer video, and I hope to find the complete footage for greater context.

The U.S.-provided M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) has proved a valuable component of the Ukrainian arsenal, and in videos and articles Ukrainian crewmembers have praised the vehicle’s lethality and survivability. The Bradley carries up to eight infantrymen and is equipped with the aforementioned Bushmaster chain gun, a coaxially mounted M240 medium machine gun, and the TOW anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), granting it the ability to engage other IFVs, light skinned vehicles, infantry, and main battle tanks. Most things/people do not react well to 25mm HEIT, so anyone in the tree line on the receiving end of that Bushmaster is not having a good day.
