CCTV street security camera footage recorded a running gun battle between Brazilian Special Operations Police Battalion (BOPE) and an unspecified criminal gang. The intense gunfire causes property damage to dwellings and vehicles.

Reportedly, undercover police that had infiltrated the gang were among them at the time of the gunfight and came under direct fire from the uniformed BOPE members, although no blue on blue casualties were reportedly inflicted. Reports also claim that 14 of the gang members were arrested during the operation.
