CCTV security footage from Guayaquil, Ecuador shows a mugger getting repeatedly hit by a vehicle after the driver witnessed the criminal in action.

The footage shows the mugger ride up to a pedestrian woman and dismount his bike to rob her. The victim is aware of his intentions and immediately takes her bag's strap from over her shoulder to quickly comply to his demands and hopefully avoid personal injury.

A motorist comes around the corner, witnesses the crime, and decides to take action by ramming the thief. He knocks the bike over three times, and the mugger is finally able to ride off, but the vigilante driver chases him in reverse around the corner.

The female victim of the mugging is able to return to the scene and retrieve her stolen belongings.
