Ukrainians Now Using American BGM-71 TOW Missiles

As part of a military aid package, the US delivered 1,500 BGM-71 TOW missiles to Ukraine back in August, but this is now the first confirmed use of the system we have seen in a video. The launcher appears to be mounted on top of a military vehicle and the monitor is being viewed from inside the cab.

It's not clear from the footage if this is a combat or training scenario.

The wire guided anti tank weapon is designed to destroy tanks and other armored vehicles, and has a range out to 4,000 meters.

The fact that we had not seen these weapons in Ukraine made me concerned that President Obama had depleted our entire stockpile during the Syrian rebel arm-and-equip program.
