Yesterday we published the first known combat footage of the US-supplied HIMARS (high-mobility artillery rocket system) in action in the service of the Ukrainian military. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has now uploaded their own official release video and it shows multiple launches of rockets as well as crews operating the high tech system.

Although the HIMARS is classified as a multiple launch rocket system, it differs considerably from standard MLRS like the BM-21 Grad system. Systems like the Grad rely on multiple inaccurate rockets blanketing a large area in hopes the target will be destroyed in the process. However, the HIMARS is incredibly accurate, and each rocket is given specific target coordinates that it can hit within inches, and each rocket can be designated to pinpoint a different target.
