Russia's Anti-Drone Nets in Bakhmut Appear to Suck

According to Ukrainian sources and video released from Russian troops conducting combat operations near Bakhmut, Russia has erected a series of anti-drone nets over commonly used routes that are meant to prevent FPV drone attacks against vehicles and armor. According to this video, released by Escadrone, they kind of don't work if the pilot just goes around them.

You know what I will give to the Russians on this one? They're at least making attempts at low-tech solutions to their drone problem. It may not be super effective, but at least it's an air-based obstacle that slows the drone down. It could, theoretically speaking, give the people on the ground the few extra seconds they need to get out of the way of an impending strike.

I'm not saying it's the best solution. I'm just saying, at least they tried.
