Russian Tank Explodes Right Next to Entrenched Ukrainian Forces

Published March 20, 2022

Entrenched Ukrainian troops trying to observe Russian troop movements get the jump-scare of a lifetime when a Russian tank that's almost on top them goes up in flames.

One of two things happened in this video. Either the Ukrainians did a controlled detonation on a nearby Russian tank without telling anyone to prevent the enemy from recovering it in the event their pushed back, or the world's sneakiest Russians almost got the jump on these guys. Either way, unexpected explosions almost directly on top of your fighting position is almost always enough of a reason to crap your pants.

For the sake of context, all we have on this video is the recording perspective. We know that this was recorded an released by Ukrainian forces, and that the destroyed armor was in fact Russian. We don't know the exact location or the date that this was recorded. As the conflict continues to move into the future, we'll start having a worse record of dates, this is to be expected over time. We will continue to try and date footage to the best of our ability.
