A drone with a thermal camera is used to adjust mortar fire onto a squad of Russian infantry intending to maneuver under the cover of darkness in the vicinity of Avdiivka.

Thermal imagery has rendered useless any concealment properties the hours of limited visibility once offered. A few quick adjustments are made to the mortars and once the forward observer is happy with where they are landing, he calls on the mortarmen to dump all remaining rounds onto the target. It's likely that the Russian formation sustained multiple casualties in the incident.
