Ukrainian troops watch as Russians target a forest near Kreminna with incendiary rounds. This may be an example of the 9M22S cluster munition fried from the Grad MLRS. This warhead releases a magnesium alloy submunition filled with gasoline, isopropyl nitrate and rubber. The magnesium burns and sticks to the target and attempts to scrape it off merely spreads the flame. It is suspected that this munition was employed by the Russians against the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol during last year’s siege.
