Russian-sourced footage of two BTR-82s assigned to VDV forces conducting a drive by of Ukrainian defensive positions. According to the source, reconnaissance indicated that Ukrainian forces were massing in this sector, prompting the Russian command to conduct this raid as a spoiling attack. The BTR-82A is equipped with a 30mm rapid fire cannon, similar in temperament to the 25mm Bushmaster found on the U.S. Army Bradley and the USMC Light Armored Vehicle (LAV). The two Russian vehicles drive along the tree line, engaging targets with high-explosive rounds before withdrawing. The source stated that the unit considered the raid a success.
