Confirmed footage coming out of Kherson shows Ukrainian partisan forces clashing with Russian troops. This video was released by a Russian state media reporter, and the gunfight has not yet been confirmed.

While this footage does seem to indicate that Ukrainian partisans are operating inside of Kherson to harass and distract Russian forces, it was recorded by a Russian reporter and released through official channels to show Russian forces overcoming the opposition. While this gunfight can't be independently verified by us, many users on Twitter are claiming that the entire gunfight itself faked by the Russians.

The Ukrainian military has yet to comment on this specific video, which could indicate that the partisan forces were local Kherson civilians conducting an insurgent style operation without support from professional military forces. It could also indicate that Russian forces filmed this gunfight to boost support for their own troops and the conflict in Ukraine back in Russia.

At this time, there is no way to be sure. Taking the video at face value, we see Russian forces combatting insurgent Ukrainians inside of Kherson.
