Paralyzed Man Robs Jewelry Store by Wielding A Firearm With His Feet

A 19-year-old male was arrested for attempting to rob a jewelry store in Canela, Rio Grand de Sul. The suspect reportedly entered the jewelry store and began looking around at the inventory. One employee stated that they assumed the disabled individual was coming into the store to beg for money.

After roughly ten minutes of being in the store, the suspect who was wheelchair bound from cerebral palsy and who was also "mute", handed the cashier a note stating "hand over the money. Don't raise attention". The suspect can be seen in the footage drawing a firearm with his feet and pointing it directly at the employee.

In the back of the store, another employee began calling 911 as the confrontation continued. Luckily, police arrived on the scene and arrested the suspect before anyone was harmed. The weapon wielded by the suspect was later identified as a plastic toy gun.
