Omega SOF Unit Punishes Russian Armor With ATGM Systems

This footage, provided by the National Guard of Ukraine, shows their Omega Special Operations group attacking Russian tanks with Stugna-P and Javelin missile systems.

Also known as "Special Operations Center Omega," the Omega group is the premier SOF unit within Ukraine's National Guard. Omega was originally founded as a counter-terror unit in 2003, but the outbreak of new Russo-Ukrainian conflict in 2022 forced Omega to restructure into their current Special Operations Center.

Omega has enjoyed particular successes in rescuing units that are trapped behind enemy lines, sabotage and recon roles, as well as continual front line service. Here we see them hunting Russian tanks in action that likely occured in or around Avdiivka.

Along with its five assault detachments, Omega also contains a recon and fire support detatchment, as well as the Extreme Tourism sniper team (link NSFW).
