Brutal thermal footage is recorded by a DPR "Sparta" Battalion drone as it drops modified projectile grenades onto Ukrainian troops. At one point, a munition makes a direct hit on a sleeping Ukrainian soldier's lower extremities and the significant injuries can be made out even through the thermal video.

The Donetsk People's Republic has been a proxy army for the Russian government since 2014 in the attempted annexation of eastern Ukraine. They are armed and equipped by the Russian military.
