This footage shows Al-Shabaab fighters being pummeled by Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones, courtesy of the Somali military. Although these strikes are typically completed from higher altitudes, casualties are still visible, and therefore viewer's discretion is advised.

With its close ties to Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab needs little introduction. A militant, Jihadist organization, Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for several high-fatality terror attacks throughout the 2010s. In May 2023, the group claimed to have killed 137 soldiers in an attack on a military base Southwest of Mogadishu, the official report claims 54 African Union peacekeepers were killed.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has declared total war on Al-Shabaab, which has prompted this footage. The Somali military is using TB2 Bayraktar drones, which are manufactured by Turkey and have seen extensive use in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Its successes have prompted over 30 countries to utilize the platform.
