Multiple Russian Riot Police Required to Detain Single Old Woman

Siege of Leningrad survivor Yelena Osipova was detained at anti-war protests by multiple riot police while holding signs protesting the current conflict against Ukraine.

For the uninitiated, this might just look like a video of a group of riot police in Saint Petersburg detaining an old woman. For those of you that are students of history however, you might recognize the name of the old woman seen in this video. Yelena Osipova is a prominent anti-war activist from Russia. She's a survivor of the Siege of Leningrad. She's also someone who apparently requires eight individual riot police to escort her to the paddy wagon.

If you will not remember your history, you are doomed to repeat it. This woman has seen the worst of our history, and she knows what the Ukrainian conflict could escalate into.
