Mine Clearing Line Charges Detonated For Ultimate Terrain Denial

Footage from Afghanistan shows US troops using M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicles firing mine-clearing line charges (MICLIC) to reduce tree lines and other terrain features to keep it from being used by enemy forces for attacks against American forces.

The MICLIC was designed to clear pathways through minefields by detonating enemy landmines. The line charge is 350 feet long and carries about 1,750 pounds of C4 explosive and is launched into place using a rocket.
