An M2 .50 gunner takes a ricochet bullet fragment to the neck during a direct fire exchange with Taliban forces in what appears to be southern Afghanistan.

He is initially stunned by the strike, but quickly assesses himself and realizes his injury is not life-threatening. He then wastes no time in getting back into the fight and laying rounds down range toward the enemy fighters.
