Militant Throws Tire On Landmine, Catches Shrapnel

Footage reportedly shows a pro Russian proxy fighter of the separatist Donetsk Peoples Republic throwing a tire onto a landmine to detonate it, and catching shrapnel to his backside in the process.

The mine was reportedly a PFM-1 scatterable anti-personnel land mine, also known as the Butterfly Mine. The devices are usually deployed from mortars and aircraft and can blanket a large area. Both Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of launching the devices into opposition territory.
