A Ring doorbell security camera captured a wild incident in which a man ran over an off duty police officer with a Jeep Wrangler. The ordeal took place in Decatur, Alabama in mid August 2022.

According to the reports and footage, the offender can be seen crashing outside the officers home, at which point the off duty cop retreats into his house to grab his firearm. The man follows the cop to his door but then returns to his vehicle as the officer exits his house with a gun. The man then charges the officer with his vehicle and runs him over. The officer fired at the suspect vehicle, but no shots hit the driver.

The suspect, identified as Gregory Martin Hill, 54, was charged with attempted murder and held on a $1,000,000 cash bond. The officer was taken to the hospital treated for minor injuries and released. The motive behind the attack wasn't stated.
