FLIR video captured by a Ukrainian Sniper captures the moment a Russian Soldier walks directly into his lane of fire. Fortunately, the Russian manages to surrender and the sniper doesn't take the shot.

First and foremost, this is one of the luckiest Russian Soldiers ever caught on video in a sniper's thermal optic. Generally speaking, these guys don't last more than a few seconds, which leads me to believe that the sniper knew the guy was coming to surrender.

Can we talk about how brave this dude actually is surrendering though? Imagine getting out of your fighting hole in the middle of the night, abandoning all of the guys you've deployed with knowing that you'll immediately be labeled a deserter, and then marching across a field directly into the mouth of an enemy you've been told will definitely kill you?

Takes some major cajones to do all that. I don't care who you are.
