Historic combat footage recorded during the early stages of World War Two captures Japanese war planes conducting strafing runs on Chinese military positions in the Hunan Province.

This footage was most likely recorded during The Battle of Changsha, which saw Japan once again trying to capture the capital city of Changsha during the Second Sino-Japanese War. This battle took place between September 6 and October 8, 1941.

Chinese casualties from this battle are still unknown to this day, but it is estimated that 1,684 Japanese troops were killed or recorded as missing at the conclusion of the battle.
