HIMARS Deleting Russian Artillery In Counteroffensive

As the counteroffensive grinds on, Ukrainian forces are finding ways to work around not having the promised F-16 and strike aircraft which are currently tied up in bureaucracy. The success of the planned counteroffensive operations hinged on those aircraft being able to hit enemy artillery and logistics units deep behind Russian lines, and now the Ukrainians have retasked HIMARS and M270 GMLRS to fill that role instead.

Although costly, the precision rockets are effective, and it is necessary that Ukraine is able to eliminate Russian fire support units as they push forward into areas that are essentially preplanned artillery impact areas.

The video shows HIMARS and M270 GMLRS precision strikes on at least a half dozen Russian artillery pieces, including BM-21 Grad launchers and self propelled howitzers.
