The first footage showing combat employment of the US-supplied HIMARS (high-mobility artillery rocket system) in Ukraine has emerged. The US delivered four of the systems and is expected to deliver additional systems as military aid packages are fulfilled.

Although the HIMARS is classified as a multiple launch rocket system, it differs considerable than standard MLRS like the BM-21 Grad system. Systems like the Grad rely on multiple inaccurate rockets blanketing a large area in hopes the target will be destroyed in the process. However, the HIMARS is incredibly accurate, and each rocket is given specific target coordinates that it can hit within inches.
