Drone Spots for Russian Tanks Engaging Ukrainian Positions

Drone video released by official Russian sources shows several Russian tanks engaging Ukrainian positions. The drone operators are spotting the impacts and helping the tank crews adjust their fires.

It's not a surprise to see the Russians adopting and adapting successful Ukrainian tactics techniques and procedures into their own arsenal. I believe that in the future of warfare, we'll be seeing a lot of footage just like this recorded by commercial drones.

For the uninitiated, most weapon systems operate off of a major and minor adjustment system. In the American military, we use mils as a unit of measurement to adjust fire on just about every weapon system we have. Normally a forward observation team in a reconnaissance role can be ahead of friendly forces adjusting the fires visually with several different adjustment techniques to help weapon systems get on target. In Ukraine, these forward units have almost entirely been replaced by drone observation on both sides of the conflict.

This specific video shows Russian tanks utilizing drones to adjust their fires onto Ukrainian positions.
