Controversial: Young Palestinian Gets Shot for Slinging Projectiles at IDF

This video depicts a young Palestinian male in Al Bireh, who is shot in the leg in response to his using a sling to throw projectiles at the IDF. While stones are usually used and most often depicted, as in the case of David and Goliath, people have been making sling-shot out of metal for thousands of years, and so it's not explicitly clear what is being used here. However, what is clear is that both the press and the ambulance appear to be standing by. This comes in handy at 0:14, when the slinger is shot in the leg. EMS responds quickly- almost as if they were waiting for this to happen, which they pretty much were.

It's important to note that a sling is not a toy- it is a weapon, being explicitly used on military personnel. Projectiles thrown via a sling like this can reach speeds of up to 50-65 meters per second with a little practice.
