A video circulating on social media reportedly shows Oklahoma University wide receiver Spencer Jones getting pummeled in a bar brawl after antagonizing a fight with a much smaller, MMA-trained man.
As a result of the beating, Jones had to undergo surgery to repair a broken eye socket and nearly lost his eye. An attorney for Jones ridiculously claimed that her client was actually a victim in the incident and was trying to deescalate the fight. While it was Jones' buddy that can be seen striking the smaller man first, who already has a bloody nose from something previously not filmed... Jones is clearly an antagonist in the situation, repeatedly sticking his finger in the man's face while barking commands.
The brother of the guy who pummeled Jones, who was also involved in the fight, took to social media claiming, "Just to get rid of the misconceptions, I’m the fellow in the beanie and that is my brother. We ARE NOT wrestlers at any university, we have been wrestling since we were in diapers and MMA/Cage Fighting since we were 12. They gave us no options unfortunately. We showed restraint."
While Jones may be able to source enough money to buy a win in the courtroom, he lost the fight, badly, to a much smaller dude. With any luck, he won some valuable perspective on life and comes to the realization that no matter how big and bad you think you are, there is always someone that is more badass than you, and they might make you look stupid.
