A jumpmaster Canadian paratrooper sends his stick out of an aircraft and follows them out the door. By the time he exits the aircraft, he is no longer over the drop zone.

He grabs a handful of riser in an attempt to slip back in the right direction, but it's not enough. He rapidly descends into a heavily wooded area, risking severe injury or even death. Luckily, his body misses the tree, but his canopy grabs the top of it and he is gently lowered to the ground in one of the softest landings a paratrooper has ever experienced.
