A Colombian dustoff team has been recognized for their proficiency and being dubbed Metal Angel, following a harrowing MEDEVAC of sick soldiers from deep within the canopy of the Choco Jungle.

Rough weather and challenging terrain made for an uneasy operation as the unit was forced to use a jungle penetrating hoist to extract the patients. The National Army soldiers were exfiltrated, stabilized, and delivered safely to the hospital.
