A Virginia police officer is being recognized for his heroics after body worn camera shows him freeing an entrapped motorist by lifting the overturned car off the woman's head.

On May 7, 2021, Deputy Jon Holt of the Gloucester County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of an accident to find children in panic as their mother's head was pinned under an overturned car. Realizing he had to act immediately, Holt lifted the car with all his might, creating enough space for the woman to slip out of the entrapment. Holt is being credited with saving the woman's life.
