Tensions are counting to escalate in the Karabakh region between the two nations over territory of which both lay claim. Following the end of the 2020 Karabakh War, Russia sent in peacekeepers to restore order and ensure agreements and stipulations were upheld. Considering Russia's demanding occupation in Ukraine, it's likely they no longer exert significant influence in the region.
