Apache Attack Helicopter Engages Insurgents During Arms Deal

Classic AH-64 Apache gun cam combat footage from the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) shows an insurgent arms deal get brutally interrupted by the attack helicopter's 30mm chain gun.

The insurgents have likely been tracked for hours or days leading up to the engagement, and once the weapons are identified, the gunships are given the green light to eradicate the enemy fighters. The first burst of air-to-ground fire lands somewhere out of frame as it was not correctly ranged. Once the correct distance is entered into the targeting system, the explosive rounds begin landing accurately on target. The third insurgent briefly disappears, but is discovered hiding under the truck. He is engaged, and both trucks are destroyed as well.
