Anti-Junta Forces Assault Government Army Camp, Myanmar

This GoPro-style footage depicts anti-junta rebels assaulting a Government Army camp in Myanmar. The eclectic mix of weaponry, gear, and clothing is indicative of this conflict, as is the youth of the combatants.

The cameraman appears to be armed with a rifle, or possibly a light machine gun given the bipod. A man armed only with a handgun, presumably the squad's leader, takes off at the beginning of the footage, leading his troops to a barrier wall. The cameraman lies prone at 0:07, using a low rise as cover as he provides suppressing fire with single, spaced shots. At 0:24, he runs with the remainder of his squad- identified by yellow armbands- to the wall. In front of him is a rebel who is absolutely booking it in flip-flops and a booksack; a grim parody of young people his age elsewhere who are late to class.

At 01:19, the cameraman fires over the barrier wall. His camera's perspective gives the viewer a good glimpse at the typical mix of AR and AK-pattern weapons used in this conflict, but there is little else by way of militaria; For the most part, apart from yellow armbands and, obviously, the weapons, these rebels/insurgents would be largely indistinguishable from civilians. 02:26 shows the squad beginning to go over the top of the wall. The video ends as the cameraman climbs over.
