I remember when Call of Duty: Vanguard dropped and everyone was clowning it for being a WWII shooter, but every gun had an optic and a silencer... and then this video from the Ukrainian military pops up showing a DP27 light machine-gun outfitted with a magnified optic and suppressor, forcing us to eat our words.

Designed almost a hundred years ago (1927), the Soviet Degtyaryov machine gun or DP-27 fires the 7.62x54r cartridge and has been in service with almost 50 countries and militant groups around the world and has seen combat in several conflicts from WWII all the way through the present. It continues to fill the role for which it was designed.
