Unknown Russian Ground Forces Being Escorted by Gunships

A brief clip released by members of the Russian "Mercenary Community" shows unknown Russian ground forces being escorted by a mixed section of attack helicopters.

The first gunship seen flying past is a single KA-52 Alligator. The second gunship you can see flying a bit further in the distance is an Mi-28. Both platforms are gunships specifically designed for providing close air support, however it is unlikely these Russian troops are going to receive escort much further than they already have unless they're heading back into friendly lines.

For the most part, the Russians have been safeguarding their air power by not flying into contested territory where western MANPAD systems can make quick of their aircraft. That said, we don't know exact unit on the ground in this video, nor do we know the location or date of the filming.
