Ukrainians Fire From Rear Hatch After IFV Gets Hit

Helmet cam combat footage from the Ukrainian 3rd Assault Brigade's Wolf Pack unit is recorded from the inside of an armored personnel carrier that is under fire from Russian forces in the vicinity of Avdiivka.

Suddenly, the vehicle commander drops into the vehicle just as a bright flash lights up the troops compartment. The vehicle is filled with smoke indicating a hit from an enemy explosive. The vehicle confutes to move and it's unclear if any soldiers were wounded. The occupants of the vehicle drop the back hatch to let out the smoke and as they do, they dish out suppressive fire to hopefully reduce the enemy's ability to fire another projectile at the open compartment.

After several months of heavy loses, estimated to be around 15,000 Russian casualties, Russian forces are actually on the cusp of taking Avdiivka. Local reports indicate that Ukrainian defenders are unable to keep their main supply route open to the embattled city.
