Ukrainian Artillery Fire Mission: Panzerhaubitze 2000

This footage, likely recorded in summer of 2023, shows a Panzerhaubitze 2000 and its crew of the 43rd artillery brigade conducting a fire mission. The Panzerhaubitze 2000, abbreviated PzH2000 is a 155mm self-propelled howitzer of German origin, procured by Ukraine, Italy, and the Netherlands, among others. It features a range of 19-34 miles (30-54 km) depending on ammunition used. Although the PzH barrels had a life expectancy of 4,500 rounds, the system has proven serviceable up to 20,000. Maintenance issues have limited the PzH2000’s usage to 100 rounds per day, although according to Germany, 100 rounds per day is still considered high intensity usage.

With the technical information out of the way, I can now attempt to remain objective while addressing the elephant in the room. Presumably the recoil and tinnitus have prevented this crewmember from being able to hear people tell him that between the wincing and the runes on his helmet, he looks like a tool.
